recently i'm interested in biodiversity esp studies on animals. (so not me!) by just listening to my super knowledgable lecturer's explaination on animals on the sea, land and air, it just amazed me!
our God is really creative and smart! super smart! He knows what is best for which animals.
undersea water kinda fish that uses bullet to attack prey. and the bullet is as hot as the sun! can u believe that? the way snakes eat. now i know why snakes can swallow buffalow! haha.. if only i've their mouth! :p some frogs that lay eggs through their skins. and so many really amazing and wonderful creations! and how each ecosystem works together. it really amazes me! and there're just so so so much varieties! i wonder how long God took to create them!? they're really beautiful!
but Charles Darwin stole God's glory! in UKM, environmental science students have to believe in the theory of evolution. the more i study on biodiversity, the more i want to know about Darwin's theory. i mean, his theory is really ridiculous! but then again, if it is so funny, why does so many scientist believes it? and some of his theory of natural selection and adaptation sounds pretty convincing. even i wondered...
ok. let's just say Charles Darwin said it's natural selection that animals have to adapt themselves under harsh conditions which is why it evolves to another thing.
natural selection is better organisms are more likely to survive and become the parents of the next generation.
adaptation is an evolutionary modification that improves the chances of survival and reproductive success in a given environment.
for example, a fly from Sweden is introduced to Spain. a fly cannot survive in Spain because of harsh conditions i.e. weather. so the fly will adapt itself to have larger wings eventhough they're not of the same species. it has been proven and tested scientifically too.
so then again, using parallel to human. Asians are generally thinner and smaller because of the food they eat whereas those who stays in Russia are bigger size because they eat pork with layers of fats! so naturally, our body has to adapt to the weather which explains our size also right? but we do not see ourselves evolving.
and of the case of human has the same ancestor as gorillas and monkeys because of many similar traits that we have.it involves looonnnggggggg lonnnngggg time to evolve. ok, putting spiritual stuff aside first.i have a few questions still running in my head. gonna ask lecturer!
1. do we evolve collectively from monkeys to humans? or do one monkey evolve and ba-boom humans! if they evolve collectively, how do they evolve to something like us? why is it that all humans have the same trait? why not like some monkeys mutated wrongly and ba-boom to aliens. we can speak, write, walk, stand, think etc the
same way. if it is one monkey evolving. wow. i think it's even more amazing. it'll be the creator of adam and eve then. the monkey must have long life!
(anyway, there's still a missing link on the human evolution. because they can't prove it! it's impossible anyway)
2. the origin of species. terlalu banyak diversity! and the way the complement each other is like so amazing! can evolution really do that?
He thought that since natural selection can and does produce slight variations within animal populations it should therefore be able to explain all of the variety we observe in biology. He concluded that since natural selection explains variety, all life must somehow be related, everything ultimately having evolved from some sort of common ancestor. "It is a truly wonderful fact-the wonder of which we are apt to overlook from familiarity-that all animals and all plants throughout all time and space should be related to each other…" 3. how are the good genes selected? there're studies on this but i haven't read it yet.
thinking more ridiculously. and taking the bible into consideration. God created this world in 7 days. maybe God's one day is our 1000 years or more. so during the duration of 1 day, God created these species one by one. making them even more special and giving them more ability to survive on this earth. e.g. 1st hour, He created lizards with 4 limbs. then few 'hours' later, He created snakes with no limbs. so that's why these animals 'evolve'. and so by the time 1 day ends, the diversity is so abundant already. is that possible? then when the second day comes, even more were created! and till the 6th day, humans appear!
and the theory of evolution says snake (no limbs and most successful reptiles) were evolved pretty late. but i'm pretty sure when humans are on earth ,there're already snakes. because it's the sly serpent who tricked eve into eating the fruit wat. hehe.. (ok, i dunno what i'm writing now actually. haha)
Do you think God wants us to prove
for him that it is He who created this world and not evolution? Do you think God is sad that some scientist who are created by Him believes in evolution and not creationism?
Let those who have eyes see, let those who have ears hear. (let those who have brains, think!)
but science needs too prove, prove and more prove! it takes faith to believe in God's existence because we can't see Him. but i can feel Him! i always enjoy looking at the sky, staring into the stars, admiring the rainfall, seeing 'our ancestors' jumping around, and yes, all His creations. i have been to few field trips and every trip is an eye-opener. it just open my eyes to see how magnificent and how almighty our God is in creating all these. i could feel His presence through His creations. i never liked bio, but i'm interested in listening my Biodiversity lecturer this time is because everytime he explains something, i would just go, "wow. God! u're so so
SMART!"
He is definitely the Creator of all this universe.
FULL STOP!(confession time - i still dun really know much on Charles Darwin thingy, only the basics. next time when i understand more, i will share again! hahaha.. so bear with my crapiness this round.)
