HELLO! I've been intending to write since the first day I touch down but I procrastinated till now. I wrote only one sentence everyday =p.
Anyway, I touched down in Munich and stayed with a wunderschoene Familie and her sister from Singapore. I had lots of fun cycling to the lake, swimming and picnic! Drinking my first Radler in the beer garden, enjoying the band music and the wind (and rain). it was beautiful. Thanks Pauline for your hospitality despite your super hectic schedule as a super mum cum wife cum sister! hahaha.. and now, host mum =p.
Next stop, Hamburg! Took a five hour train up there to be greeted by 3 wonderful people - Chengyee, lucas and jonathan. Hamburg is another gorgeous city too! I had a very good local tour guide, Lucas. Learnt lots about Hamburg and German culture! Had my new favourite food - Fish bread from the fish market =). yummy. i miss it already. His family was so so wonderful, very friendly and funny parents. His mum actually made 2 bottles of different jam for me a night before I left! I was so touched, literally!
Next place, a day tour to Bremen and met Barbara there. Bremen is such an old city with lots of beautiful buildings and the famous fairy tale - the donkey, dog, cat and chicken. Die Musikerin. Had cake and hot chocolate before I leave for Laggenback with Barbara!
Barbara and her husband, Werner were Chengyee's host parents for mid-stay. I am so so thankful and blessed to be able to meet them! I was literally treated as a princess here! Barbara is such a good cook that I am fed with super delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Every meal will be served with different food. Oh, they have Thermomix and AMC too! What an coincidence. Barbara is such a detailed person that she overlooks everything. When I say everything, it is literally everything. The first day I arrived, I was surprised to be given one face towel and one big towel in the bathroom. They showed me around the city in Muenster, Ibbenburen etc. Every night I had good chat with Werner till fast midnight! All Germans know everything in the world. OK, almost all.
Anyway, I am soooo thankful and blessed in my almost 2 weeks stay here. Thank God for your love. Whenever I see these wonderful people around me, I just couldn't help but be reminded of your love and blessings! More to come next week in Berlin, the real city!
Can I not grow up and stay here forever, as a student. =p
